Dove of Peace

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased!” –Luke 2:14

Earl Rockenbach and Arthur Countryman gave their lives in World War II in the pursuit of peace. “Rocky” and Gladys Rockenbach and Clarence and Marie Donisch represent all the families who lived through the poignant loss of war and are also to be remembered this day. The familiar “Dove of Peace” symbol speaks of not only peace amongst nations, but speaks of the peace of God that dwells in the hearts of believers. The golden ray is used as a symbol of the descending dove.

Eva Wilson, Howard and Hattie Eisenbrandt, Harold and Joyce Cormany, Marjorie Rockenbach, Mary Lou Knowles, Jim and Carol Knotts, Loretta Countryman and Richard and Georgia Donisch gave this window in memory of William “Rocky” and Gladys Rockenbach, Earl Rockenbach, Arthur William Countryman, Clarence William and Marie Blance Donisch.
