Memento

In order to use leftover glass and materials from the eight side windows, Plesant “Buzz” Parks, who helped construct the large windows, designed this memento cross panel. Each is approximately 14” x 16”, and became a beautiful keepsakes of the old amber glass windows and a souvenir of the new stained glass windows.

Each was sold for $100, with $25 going toward the cost of new materials and $75 going to reduce Sharon Church’s debt from the 1990 renovation loan. $1,875 was raised.

A few months later, Ruth Keen fashioned three different and smaller mementos. These were sold for $8 to $22, and raised an additional $375. (Total renovation debt reduction from the sale of mementos reached $2,250.)
